Diagnostic Gait Analysis combines critical gait evaluation with state of the art musculoskeletal ultrasonography. The exam begins with a careful examination an equine treadmill, which improves objectivity by providing consistent footing, minimizing distractions and eliminating perspective distortion. Each limb is evaluated for deviations from normal gait parameters. Dynamic exam is followed by comprehensive ultrasound in order to reach diagnosis and guide treatment.
Proper rehabilitation is a critical component of managing sport injuries. The most important factor in return to function is proper oversight during strengthening and re-conditioning programs.
